Julia Walton - Director of Theatre4Kids

Julia trained as a professional performer at the Guildford School of Acting. During her theatre career, Julia appeared in many leading roles including Jenny Dillingham in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Aspects of Love (Basingstoke, Haymarket), Peggy Patch in BBC's Playdays (UK Tour), Sally in Dr. Seuss the Musical (London, Old Vic) and Wendy in Peter Pan (Windsor, Imagination Theatre).

As a teacher, Julia has worked extensively throughout Surrey and the South London area. She has taught drama, singing, dance and voice to children of all ages and has worked both in schools and as a workshop leader for several well-known theatre companies. She has also written and directed her own plays for children and is currently a teacher at Danesfield Manor School.

 

Cheryl Felgate - Workshop Leader

Cheryl trained in Performing Arts and Drama at Middlesex University. Since leaving she has worked as a performer, most recently completing a sell-out Italian tour of A Midsummer Nights Dream for Palketto stage in which she played Titania and Helena. Her repertoire also includes, title roles in the UK tours of Rapunzel and The Snow Queen, various characters in The Mole Who Knew it was None of his Business (Edinburgh Festival and UK tour) and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance.

Cheryl is an experienced workshop leader and teacher, working with young students in many areas of performing arts including drama, dance, singing and creative theatre. Most recently, Cheryl has worked for the Shakespeare Schools Festival and regularly leads workshops as a supply drama/dance teacher in primary schools across London.

Kelly Philpott - Workshop Tutor

Kelly studied drama at Roehampton University and worked with The Cat's Grin Theatre Company playing a wide range of roles. Her favourites included; The Snow Queen, The Cheshire Cat and Mr Toad. Other theatre credits include Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Guildenstern/Gravedigger in Hamlet. Kelly has also appeared in comedy plays for fringe shows and festivals.

Kelly has taught drama throughout London and Surrey and has been the co director for the South West Youth Theatre for the last five years, directing two shows a year for London venues.
