About Theatre4Kids

Children's Theatre and Drama Classes

Theatre4Kids is an established children's theatre school specialising in teaching musical theatre skills to 4 – 14 year olds in Basingstoke, Hampshire and Esher, Surrey. The theatre school prides itself in delivering high quality musical theatre training to students of all ages and abilities. Being a small and independent theatre school, Theatre4Kids believes in a very personal approach, giving all of its students the opportunity to shine and develop their individual talents.

Theatre4 Kids opened its doors in September 2006 in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey with a second school opening in Basingstoke in 2011. Recent performances have included; the schools bi-annual showcase entitled Once Upon a Time (The Hammond Theatre, Hampton), An Evening with SYMT (Electric Theatre, Guildford), West End Dreams at (Indigo O2, London) and Class Talent (Her Majesty’s Theatre, London). Students have also regularly appeared at The Anvil, Basingstoke in Peter Pan with UK Productions, The Mayor’s Variety Show, Moving Experience with the Basingstoke Academy of Dance and in various professional operas with the Ellen Kent Opera and Ballet International Company.

Theatre4Kids only engages professional performers to facilitate its classes, so students gain a wealth of knowledge and experience from performers currently working in the industry.

Meet the team

For over 15 years, Julia has worked extensively throughout Surrey and the South London area as a drama and singing coach.

Principal

Cheryl trained in Performing Arts and Drama at Middlesex University. Since leaving she has worked as a creative facilitator and professional performer.

Lead Creative

Jessica graduated from the Guildford School of Acting and has always been heavily involved in musical theatre.

Jessica Duncan
Teacher

Laura-Jane graduated from PPA, Guildford in 2014 having studied Musical theatre. Since graduating she has had many professional credits.

Our first priority is your child’s safety and welfare. We recognise that we have a responsibility to reassure you that appropriate policies and procedures are in place to ensure that your child takes part in classes and performances within a safe and secure environment.

Theatre4Kids ensures that measures are taken to safeguard your child including; enhanced DBS checks, LEA chaperone licenses and First Aid training for its staff.
