Tots 4 to 7 years (Year R - Year 2)
Saturday 9.30am - 11.00am
The children work on specially selected songs and dances to build on their musicality, as well as their rhythm and co-ordination. Drama games are played in order to enhance confidence and basic script work is used to develop performance skills and vocal technique. The students really do learn ‘skills for life’ which are very important at this young and impressionable age. However, the main emphasis of the sessions is to have fun!
Juniors 7 to 11 years (Year 3 - Year 6)
Saturday 10.00am - 12.00pm
Saturday 2.00pm - 4.00pm (Year 6 only)
The classes include training in the performance disciplines of; acting, singing and dancing. By teaching these elements together, we are able to produce high quality pieces of musical theatre. The students experience what it is like to work as a theatre company and there is a strong emphasis on teamwork. The children will also work closely with the older students from our T4K Seniors group which enables students to develop their performance skills and increase their confidence even further.
Seniors 11 to 16 years (Year 7 - Year 11)
Saturday 11.00am - 1.00pm
Saturday 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Structured in a similar way to T4K Juniors, Seniors takes musical theatre to the next level. Aiming to stretch and challenge the students in a professional and disciplined theatrical environment. This enables each student to build on their talents and gain confidence in performance. The students experience what it is like to be part of a theatre company and there is a heavy emphasis on teamwork. The students also have the opportunity of working with the younger children which builds self-esteem and creativity.
